(Did I mention there was a sparkle party?)<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a sampling of the inspiration from the conference:<\/p>\n<h5>Tips for the Writing Process<\/h5>\n<p>&#8220;If there&#8217;s no trouble, there&#8217;s no story.&#8221; &#8211; Picture book author <a href=\"http:\/\/memfox.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mem Fox<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you were with a friend, how would you tell them your story?&#8221; &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thisjordanbrown\">Jordan Brown<\/a>, executive editor with Balzer + Bray\/Walden Pond Press at HaperCollins<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Make sure every page is as strong as your first page.&#8221; \u00a0&#8211; Julie Strauss-Gabel, VP and publisher of Dutton Children&#8217;s Books\/Penguin<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tell your sloppy truth.
