May You Live Until You Die by Melissa Gorzelanczyk May You Live Until You Die by Melissa Gorzelanczyk 💎 A message for us all, channeled from Shea Gorzelanczyk (1975 - 2026) for his memorial. Inspired by Lord Huron.

In November 2025, my husband and partner of 23 years, @sheagorzelanczyk, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. He was 51 years old. The disease changed his vibrant, healthy body and mind quickly. Terribly.

Less than six months later, he died in our artist retreat home surrounded by beauty, loved ones, and his favorite songs by Lord Huron.
I wrote these words, but I believe they’re from him.

Whoever they reach, I hope you feel Shea’s magnificent, cosmic light inspiring you to live. 🪩⛰️

Twelve years ago, a soft-spoken woman with brillia Twelve years ago, a soft-spoken woman with brilliant eyes approached me at a YOU magazine release party. 💎 I was the mind & spirit columnist, and she had read my piece on “rekindling your creativity.”

She told me her name was Genevieve; she was a writer, too, and she came to the event because wanted to connect with me. Years later, she revealed that she knew the moment she read my column that we would be friends.

Today, we are neighbors. A short meadow walk away. She and her snuggly dog, CoCo, have provided so much comfort and nurturing support for me the past seven months during Shea’s death portal. (Two beings of many, more posts to come.)

I hope you’re sharing your unique art with the world. Light attracts life. ✨ (Credit: @blisterworldwide)

Thank you to all who helped us celebrate Shea’s luminous life. He was one of the best.

I sure do miss him.

This tribute to Shea, dancing to “The Night We Met” by @lordhuron on @odoug7’s wedding day, was so healing to our hearts. ❤️‍🩹

Owen, we journeyed through So. Much. together the past six months—and the past 23 years as you became the man you are today. Few will ever know all we did to get your dad to the other side. But we know.

You have so many of your dad’s best qualities. Protective, friendly, kind, passionate, dependable, curious. We are both so proud of you.

Never doubt: I am here. ✨

May you and your bride @madisengorzelanczyk write a beautiful love story, like I had with your father.
